Before You Book HighHouse for a Weekday Lunch, Check Which Days It Actually Opens at Noon

Image Recommendation: A daytime shot of a table set for lunch beside a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the Singapore skyline from a high floor.

It’s easy to assume a restaurant perched 62 floors above Raffles Place runs on one schedule every day of the week, open for lunch whenever the mood strikes. HighHouse doesn’t quite work that way. It’s primarily a nightlife venue that happens to serve one of the better value lunches in the Raffles Place area, and that distinction shapes exactly which days a midday booking is even possible.

The Lunch Set Only Runs on Days HighHouse Actually Opens Before Noon

HighHouse opens at 11:30am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Wednesdays, which is when the lunch service, and the set menu that goes with it, is actually available. Fridays and Saturdays flip the schedule entirely: the venue doesn’t open its doors until 5pm, switching fully into its evening and nightlife identity for the rest of the week. It’s closed altogether on Sundays. Anyone picturing a quick midday booking squeezed into a Friday work lunch or a Saturday catch-up would be planning around a window that doesn’t exist that day.

Day Opening time Lunch set available?
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 11:30am Yes
Friday, Saturday 5pm No, evening only
Sunday Closed No

What Actually Comes With the Set, and What Doesn’t

The Raffles Place lunch set has run as a two-course menu and a three-course version, developed with the venue’s chef, covering a cold and a hot starter, a choice of mains, and dessert on the fuller option. It’s priced closer to a casual business lunch than a special-occasion splurge, which is a genuine contrast to how the venue is usually described after dark. Drinks, including anything from the cocktail list, are ordered and charged separately from the set itself, so it’s worth budgeting for that on top of the per-person menu price.

Set menus like this tend to run for a defined season rather than indefinitely, so it’s worth confirming the current lineup and price when booking rather than assuming last month’s version from a review is still what’s actually being served on the day.

Because the lunch window only exists on four days of the week, a restaurant reservation made even a day or two ahead tends to land better seating than one made the same morning, particularly for anyone hoping to sit near a window.

The View Is the Same Height Either Way, but Seating Fills Up Faster for Lunch

HighHouse sits on the 61st and 62nd floors of One Raffles Place, roughly 282 metres up, giving an unobstructed daylight view of the financial district that’s genuinely different in character from the same skyline lit up at night. The building is a short walk from Raffles Place MRT, about three minutes from Exit B.

Daytime window seating tends to be limited relative to the floor’s total capacity, and lunch bookings skew heavily toward tables near the glass. A booking left to the morning of often ends up with general seating further from the windows, which is a reasonable trade for a walk-in lunch but not ideal for anyone specifically after the view.

A Few Things Worth Confirming When Booking a Lunch Slot

  • Which day of the week the booking falls on, since the set menu simply isn’t running on Friday or Saturday lunchtimes.
  • Whether a window table can be requested specifically, rather than assuming general seating will land near the glass.
  • Whether the current set menu matches what’s being advertised, since the lineup changes from one season to the next.

Is the Skyline Actually Worth Seeing at Lunch, or Is That a Night-Only Thing?

It’s worth it either time, just for different reasons. Daylight shows the density and layout of the financial district clearly, with ships visible out toward the harbour on a clear day, while the evening view trades that clarity for the lit-up skyline most people associate with a rooftop photo. Neither version requires the nightlife side of the venue to be running, so a lunch booking gets the height and the outlook without needing to stay past the meal.

Getting the timing right matters more here than at most restaurants in the area, simply because the lunch and evening sides of HighHouse operate almost like two different venues sharing one address.

A table by the window fills up well before the lunch slot itself does. Reserve a table at HighHouse to lock in a day the lunch set is actually being served.
